Day Two

Well, not a bad start for a slow typer like moi.

Mulletman ran (actually biked) off to breakfast with Mr. Tom and I capitalized on the time by cranking out 1,658 words. That's all of chapter one and part of chapter two. I was so confused at first. I thought one of the grandmothers was going to be my main character, but they both grabbed their knitting and ran. Fortunately Jason stepped in. In fact, he decided to tell the whole story himself. I'm quite relieved, because I wasn't sure how to patch everything together: Jason lived through it all, so he knows every detail. Thanks, Jason!

Mm is at work, the girls are sleeping and now I'm going to open Pages and crank out as many fascinating word as possible - with Jason's help, of course.

And the Beagle? She doesn't come in until later. We'll need her in the story to deal with the hamsters...

By the way, my hair looks good curled. I'm going to do it again tomorrow for the women's conference. I'll try to get a pic.

Oh, and by the way again. "Wonky" is not a Maine word. It's Australian, but I REALLY like it!

You're right on track -- 1657 words a day is all you need.

Amazing how characters tend to take over and tell YOU what's what, isn't it?

I got some bad news yesterday and felt like the best use of my time was pulling weeds and crying. Now I need to write close to 3,000 words today!?! Not a good start!

Good for you to have made such good progress. Keep it up -- and drag me along.

I've heard that's how novelists are - the story writes itself and makes itself know. I know I'm not one!! Can't even do a short story. Can't wait to read it!

Are you going away for a conference? Have a wonderful time!

But you go, girl! I'm rootin' for you!

Go, Groovy, Go.
See Groovy Go.
Okay, that's my 6 words for the day. I'm done.

Go, Groovy! I know you can do it. I think I'll go and curl my hair - it seems to be providing you with a bit of a boost. Now where are those old heated rollers.....

Yay, you! I already want to read your masterpiece!

(Don't you love it when your characters are like, "Um, hi. I'm going to go run off on a completely different tangent, mkay?")
