I Blew It!

Well, I've made a pact with myself to have a day of rest from the computer on Sundays. It's a GOOD pact. Unfortunately, this week it meant that I missed the email notice that I had finally made it onto the "Top Mama" webpage. This meant that I didn't get to beg all my friends and fellows to vote for me. In turn, this meant that I got bumped out of the competition in less than 24 hours! Easy come, easy go.

Maybe I'll try again in a month or so.

I saw the following ad in a recent women's magazine. It cracked me up - probably because I can SO identify!

I saw another ad for Roman Meal Breads. The quote on the ad said, "I am so far behind, I think I'm first!" That's my motto for today!

*********
Yesterday on the way to church we drove past a Chinese resaurant that offered "Both Chinese and American Breakfasts".

Groovy: What' does THAT mean - they offer both Rice and Rice Krispies?

Mulletman: No, it probably means that you can get your eggroll scrambled or over-easy.

Oh dear, if I can't pass gas, I'll explode. Besides, if you can't pass it, what are you supposed to do with it? Hope you build up enough gas that you can fly? argh!

Now I'm curious about the breakfasts, too.

So, Lord of the Manor and I have been discussing vacations and he said something about heading to the East Coast "and maybe visiting Maine." I said, "Cool. If we go there, I have a stop to make." He looked at me and said, "Is there any spot on this planet that you DON'T have friends?"

Awww sorry about missing out on the Top Mama competition...as you said, you can try again later! I'm still laughing at that "do not pass gas" sign...too funny! Hmmmm does your post title have to do with missing the Top Mama thing or passing gas??? lol As for the chinese/american breakfast...LOL at both you and mulletman's answers!!!!

That reminds me, I passed a Chinese restaurant today that had a "New York Style" sign in the window.

that's a nice batch of paradox and whimsy to start the day with - beats rice krispies any time. and very low in fat!

New York Style Chinese? So what would that be? General Tso's Chicken with a bagel?

When I was in S.Carolina my Mom took me to a Chinese buffet and hey served a local specialty, deep-fried sweet potato puffs. I guess that'd be southern Chinese.

I thought I commented on this post, but it must have flown away into cyberspace. But anyway, I loved it and it made me laugh!

Hey you, you've been quiet for a while now! Nothing to say for 4 days?!! How will my world keep spinning if you take a break?!
