Yes, that's right. I have realized that the girls and I have been a little slack in our schooling, so this afternoon is fully devoted to an intense, academic, and scientific study of...........
CHOCOLATE!
You think I'm kidding, don't you? No way! We found this awesome book at the library:
So now we are reading about the origin of chocolate, the processing of chocolate, the different types of chocolate, and the health benefits of chocolate and more.
Then, of course, we will have the taste testing so we can completely experience chocolate: unsweetened, semisweet, bittersweet, sweet, dark, extra dark, drinkable, cocoa powder, and with mint. See?
Then we may throw in some home-economics by following some chocolate recipes as well - maybe some brownies and fudge sauce and cookies and cake and frosting and, And, AND..............
HELP, SOMEBODY STOP ME!!!!!!!!!!!
:-D
Ya gotta love homeschooling!
(Next week? VANILLA!!!! and then STRAWBERRY! Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!!!)

If you need an official taste tester... or someone to help eat the sweets so you can stick with your FBD, I'm right down the street!
UhOh! Sounds very dangerous to your flat belly!
We had a women's retreat two years ago that involved taste-testing all the types of chocolate. I was one of the "teachers" and for the life of me I can't remember how it related to our spiritual life - but it was fun!
Excellent assignment! Make sure they chart and graph their results, and count it towards math! Y'know, if you shared some of that chocolate, you'd get an even better statistical sampling...
Remember that Flat Belly award!!!!
Susan
I wanna be in your homeschool class.
word verification: "unser" Would that be "ma'am"?
Iwish you had been my teacher!! I really like the "health" aspect of chocolate. Have fun!
I can highly recommend a place to visit for a field trip... in support of your studies, of course.
Last year I was at a conference in Hershey, and I stayed at the Hershey Hotel... it was a 5 M experience. (5 M as opposed to 5 star)
MMMMM
(Oh for goodness sake Groovy.. Word Verification: FATA)
Bear: Oh, Hershey, PA. It's an awesome place! We toured the "Kiss" factory with the older kids several years ago. I'm looking for an excuse to get there this summer...
As for the rest of you; remember, chocolate IS on my diet and I was good and opnly ate the allowable amount. I might also add that it was superbly YUMMY!
