This meme was passed to me from Angry Buttons.
Here are the rules for this meme:
1) Go back through your archives and post links to five favourite blog posts that you’ve written.
But there is a catch;
a) Link 1 must be about family.
b) Link 2 must be about friends.
c) Link 3 must be about yourself, who you are… what you’re all about.
d) Link 4 must be about something you love.
e) Link 5 can be about anything you choose.
2) Post your five links, and then tag five other people. At least TWO of the people you tag must be newer acquaintances so that you get to know each other better.
This is THE most difficult Meme I've ever completed. First of all, I wanted it to be different from the norm, so I limited my choices to my firstest and oldest blog as "sherrybell" on Xanga.com. That was in my pre tag days and many of the posts had no titles. This meant that I just spent 2 hours reading old posts and old family news, some of which made me laugh and some of which were quite painful. I left the painful ones and picked what I think are the lighter and/or more revealing ones. This was also pre "anonymous names", so our real identities are displayed in all their glory.
I'm not going to play tag, but you are welcome to "steal" this meme if you want to go post hunting on your own blog.
I hope you enjoy the posts I've selected:
My Family: The Family Clown and Mulletman and Me and Mulletman
My Oddest Friend and Strangest Neighbor
Here's a post About Me.
Something I love? Spending time with Funsocksgirl. Getting ready for her wedding was especially memorable: You can read about that Here and Here.

I've been also been tagged by Marianne for this opinion Meme. The rules are:
* Link back to the person who tagged you.
* List three things that you believe are necessary to make writing good and powerful. )
* Tag five others and comment on their blog informing them that they've been tagged.
Three things that I believe are necessary to make writing good and powerful are:
1. words
2. editing
3. an easily impressed reader
This meme was MUCH easier (aka Groovy cheated because she was plum wore out from the first meme)!!!! Of course, I refuse to play tag, so take it and run with it if you WANT to!

Ya know, I don't sleep on my face, so how come my bangs look like this in the morning?

Ok...Now I'm off to read YOUR blog. I certainly hope your writing is powerful!

Wow, that was a tough one. I don't think I could have the patience to do it!
You are a riot to post that picture!
Hey, thanks for the invitation to stay in your guest room. DC got really excited when I told him we have a place to stay when we go east again! And he absolutely LOVES maple syrup. So - we'll definitely have to make this a plan!
I'll be back to read all of your choices.
HEY! My bangs look EXACTLY the same! We should hit up the government for some research money and check out this phenom -- I'm a side sleeper? You?
We have the same morning hairdo!!!
Sister!
I only have a minute now, but I promise to drop back and read some of those posts...because what a fun meme!
You look happy and fun and like somebody who's enjoying life. Who notices the bangs with that kind of smile?
How come your bangs look like what in the morning? Am I missing something? ; D
I'm also confused by something else. Where is the computer. I can't make sense of the kitchen from the picture. Is the computer on the bar?
I loved the old posts... what ever happened with The Happy Guy? He seems like quite the character.
The old posts are great. I don't have a problem with my bangs in the morning just a huge crease down one cheek. I look like I'm scarred. Sometimes it takes hours to go away. Great photo. Love your sense of humour!
I love your old posts. Nothing you wrote, though, convinces me that just because I have a sewing machine, I should make curtains (like someone in the house seems to think I ought to do).
I love your three qualities of good writing. Gotta remember those...
And, beautiful picture! I think Anne said it just right...
Silly NCF, I took the photo WITH the computer...DUH!!! And you, of all people, know very well that my bangs only look like that about 1/2 the time, so watch it, sister! I have photos of YOU that I can use for blackmail!
Marianne, I am indeed a side sleeper - and then the other side, and then the OTHER side and then...
Judy, the Happy Guy is selling his house/trailer, but I'm not sure that anyone has looked at it yet, except maybe to laugh.
Ah Groovy you did so much better at the Archive meme than I did, I loved it and it served its unstated purpose of allowing your newer readers to learn a little more about you.
I found it too difficult to do... my excuse is that I've been blogging for less than 2 years and I ignored my blog for about a year in the middle of that time.
And there must be a law against looking that happy and presentable first thing in the morning... my bangs are all over the place and what looks like a big smile, on closer inspection, turns out to be a big crease across my face. (Not as pretty a sight)
I think I'm having a visual-spatial senior moment. It seems to me like the kitchen set up is all wrong. Which window is behind you? The one that looks out on the road (which I think it is) or the one that looks out on the driveway (which is should be if you are at the computer where it is usually located, but it can't be because then the wall would not end, but continue on to the door) I just can't seem to figure out how you're not facing the stove with the table behind you and the front yard and the road outside the window behind you. Or am I just that challenged that iphoto does a mirror image and I can't see it? Wow, this is really taxing me!
OK, NCF, Lemme walk you through this, Dear: See the blurry white shade on the window? That means it is, indeed, the window looking out on the driveway; That's the only window with a shade to keep out that blinding afternoon sunshine. You can't see the door because there is so much space between it and the window (Remember, my dining area is huge, gigantic and also quite large.) - ie, the door is far to the, um, left (facing the photo) which is completely backward because Photo Booth takes mirror pictures.
Ya know, I think that doc you're seeing is messing with your BRAIN and that scares me because you are such a brainiac. If your brain shrinks and you start to forget things, then you might forget to invite me to your next tea party!!
I knew it! Trying to convert mirror images is like trying to think through the the concept of time travel. Ask John. I don't do well with sci-fi movies with time travel...and I don't do well with trying to grasp mirror images. I don't need a doc to mess with my brain for that. I came that way, I'm afraid Thanks for your paitience. : ) So, if I had a tea party, would you come?
Aaaahhhh! Punctuation error followed by spelling error! But, to correct it would just be too compulsive. You already know two of my weaknesses, I don't want to add to the list!
That is not how your hair looks like in the morning. Is it? LOL!
You are such a funny lady.
LOL!!
Lori
Hey, I just did the five-post meme. Fun.
