JUMP!!!!

Ok, you people. Cut it out.

I know that you enjoy putting music on your blogs to express your current mood or to give atmosphere to your site. But I am not a "background noise" person. In fact, back when I had vocal nodules, my voice therapist told me, "Groovy, you must limit background noise in your house." I took her very seriously and now, much to Mulletman's chagrin, I am constantly turning off all the home devices that add up to cacophonous decibles so that I don't have to raise my voice when I need to speak.

I need to speak often (it's my nature), so I am often employed in unplugging, unswitching, and muting. Sometimes I even kill the furnace and unplug the fridge just so I can enjoy QUIET!

Unfortunately, sometimes I forget to mute my computer before I blog-hop and then ZOWIE! I jump right out of my office chair because you music-lovers scare the cotton-pickin' daylights right out of me.

Right now I am sitting in the cottonless dark because of you.

For shame!

Note: If you have music on your site, I still love you, and I'll probably be back just as frequently because I have a very short memory...but don't be surprised if I send you the cleaning bill for my coffee stained skirt!

Lucky for your I am technologically challenged and unable to figuire out how to do the music thing, though there are times when I really want to!

Loved your comment this morning, as usual.

Glad to hear you voice this. I feel the same way about the music on blogs. I check in to "hear" what you have to say in words and not to listen to your choice of music for me to listen too. I feel the same way about the telephone and being put on hold and having to listen to music while I'm holding. I love music, and a variety of it but I'll choose when and where myself please.

I'm right there with you... I hate going to a site or a blog and having to listen to music. It's up there with the folks who change the little arrow of my mouse to something cutesy that tracks all over the page -- if I wanted to see twenty-five little pink hearts, I'd do it myself.

I don't stick around those places.

How are you doing up there, weather-wise?

This morning it is sleety/rainy/wet/windy - just lovely. And YOU?

It's been alternating between snow and rain... like we needed anymore water. The shopping center right up the road from me is underwater and the road is closed off... *sigh* Unfortunately, the library is that way -- I'm not up to going all the way around, so no new books today :-(

Groovy, you hit the nail on the head here. I simply cannot stand going to sites where music plays, especially when you cannot turn it off on the site, you have to mute your computer. Gaaahh!!!

The weather here is the usual springtime manic stuff. Sunny! Windy! Rainy! Sunny! just plain overcast and sad, thank you. But I like that stuff over what you've got any day.
