I was prepared with a funny post about a funny book for today.
Unfortunately, this is not a funny day. I have 2 college aged kids...
In honor of those who are grieving over the tragedy at Virginia tech I will remind my faithful readers:
Ephesians 5:15-21Therefore, be careful how you walk, not as unwise men, but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then, do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father; and be subject to one another in the fear of Christ.
The days are indeed evil; How's your walk with God?

You're right. Even if it weren't raining today, it would be a very gray day. Working on a large campus, it brings thoughts of vulnerability to us. How do you close down a campus?? It's like a small town. Also, it brings back the horror of the day I walked over to the student center and found the students all around on t.v. set, more than normal, watching the Columbine tragedy unfolding. What a sad, wicked world we live in. We have the only Hope!
My heart is heavy since I heard the news. A senseless tragedy in every sense of the word. xox
My daughter was born two days after Columbine occured... the newspaper I saved for her is all about it. I remember thinking it couldn't get any worse.
Then 9/11 happened.
Now this.
My husband walks around and mumbles, "We're in the dark days for sure..."
I think he's right :-(
Thank you for the reminder
