Aprons - Y/N? I am a MESSY cook, so I need one. I have a huge apron from the News Journal in Daytona Beach (Thanks, MIL!) that's covered with newspaper comics. I'm planning on sewing up a pretty one to wear when company is here, but I haven't got around to it yet.
Baking - Favorite thing to bake? Goodness...I like to bake breads and desserts and, well, anything!
Clothesline - Y/N? We have two of those wicked cool ones outside where you can reel your clothes out and in from the porch. We also have several strung in the basement for winter drying.
Donuts - Ever made them? Only when the aliens force me to! (Which seems to be once or twice a year. Drat those evil aliens!)
Everyday - One homemaking thing you do everyday? Make my bed. I HATE unmade beds. They make me feel like the whole house is dirty.
Freezer - Do you have a separate deep freezer? Yes
Garbage Disposal - Y/N? Nope. We haven't had one since Bonehead moved out.
Handbook - Y/N? I might have one. I dunno. What IS a handbook?
Ironing - Love it or hate it? I avoid it as much as possible, BUT I hate wrinkled clothing, so I do occasionally pull it out to use.
Junk Drawer - Where is it? One. In the kitchen.
Kitchen - Design and decorating? Oh My. My house was built in 1975. The kitchen and dining room are really one VERY large room. They are sort of...well, um...I guess you'd call it discount supply store Spanish style. I have textured walls and ceiling with glitter in it. The dining area has big windows and panelled (cheap, but attractive) wainscotting and a 70's vintage 4 bulb hanging light over the table. We keep saying we're going to replace it with a ceiling fan, but we haven't got around to it yet. The kitchen has white wallpaper with blue flowers, BLACK counter tops and a cheap linoleum white floor with small black diamonds (the same floor is in both rooms). I used to hate the black counters, but they've grown on me and I love the sparkles! All the curtains are old, faded blue. Someday I'll replace those too!
My dream? Gray ceramic tile floor, ceiling fan, no wallpaper, green tiles on the lower portion of the kitchen walls and some sort of complementary paint on the top half and pretty curtains. I might actually do the curtain part, but the rest is too expensive!
Love - What is your favorite part of homemaking? Making a meal that everyone loves and raves about.
Mop - Y/N? Not nearly often enough. My floor is HUGE!
Nylons - Wash them by hand or in the washer? You're supposed to wash those? (Just kidding. I put them in a sweater bag in the washer.)
Oven - Do you use the window or open it to check? Both.
Pizza - What do you put on yours? Cheese for the girlies. Mulletman and I go for green pepper and onion. If I get a pizza to myself I throw on some mushrooms too.
Quiet - What do you do during the day when you get a quiet moment? Read or WRITE!
Recipe card box - Y/N? Yes, and about 40 cookbooks too!
Style of house - When we were buying it the inspector described it as an "Unusual Chalet". It's very odd, inside and out!
Tablecloths and napkins - Y/N? For special occasions. I'd like a full stash of cloth napkins for everyday use. I despise paper napkins.
Under the kitchen sink - stoneware and baking pans and dishes. All my cleaning supplies are up high.
Vacuum - How many times a week? about once a week, more if I notice too many "chunks" or Marvin (dustbunny) spawn.
Wash - How many loads do you do a week? 4 to 6 loads a week.
X'es - Do you keep a list of things to do and cross them off? Not consistantly.
Yard - Who does what? Mulletman is also known as Mowerman (Our yard is over an acre). I do all the weeding, gardening, and landscaping with help from my MIL.
ZZZ's - What is your last homemaking task for the day? Packing Mulletman's lunch for work the next day and/or preparing the coffee pot for the next morning.

OK, now I'm curious...Top Mama?
I keep reading all these fun homemaking memes and then I get a strange sensation to...you know...clean. ;) Which needs to happen a little more around here!
I loved reading yours and I picked up on all your references...yep, that is annoying when aliens arrack the clotheline. LOL
40 cookbooks, wow! I wish I could come over and borrow a few! I'm always running out of interesting recipes.
Blessings!
Oops! I clicked on the TopMama button cuz I was curious and was looking for you...THEN I read your post where you say to wait cuz you're not there yet! LOL Teach me to read your post FIRST! lol I so enjoyed all your answers to the meme...was wondering if Marvin had any spawns yet. hehe xox
Okay, this meme is reminding me of all the homemaking tasks I am NOT getting done with a newborn in my arms. I do love cuddling with her, but the house unfortunately doesn't clean itself.
Marvin spawn multiply faster than my Hoover can slurp. Someimes I hate vacuuming up the little dears - makes me feel like I'm drowning kittens or something.
Groovy, hon, instead of making the beds, do what I do: close doors. Heh, heh!
Thanks for stopping by yesterday. Hey, come on out and DC will be glad to tale Mulletman on a good hike!
My house is vintage 1978 and very dated! Needs a lot of work. We don't want to move because it's almost paid for, but it needs a lot done to it. Who would buy it???
Did I get to mention my blue toilet? I have blue toilet and sinks and tub. It screams 70's!
Blue toilets? Oh My! :)
I used a clothesline for the 1st time this summer and loved it! My family thought I was insane. :) I just have a regular line, but I've looked at some cool ones for this summer. I wanted to try out a line in the garage, but in California, I can probably wait out for the few days of cold we're getting.
