You Are a Fruitcake |
People pretend you're sweet and precious, but they know how weird you really are! |
Hahhahahahahahahahahaha!!
Oh my goodness!
Sheesh!
So...hopefully you all like fruitcake and that's why you're here!
*ahem*

In other news, a miracle happened this week. For the first time in a bazillion years I got the entire house decorated for Christmas and put away all the mess IN ONE DAY!
Usually it takes me three - I kid you not!
Then again, it was much easier this year because I had two skilled and ardent helpers.
They assembled our artificial tree, fluffed the branches, sorted all the ornaments...
...and did all the decorating except for the lights.
Then I put up our nativity set...
...and they put up their's

Here's Mary and Joseph and the Baby Jesus. Mary is, of course, the one with the flowery bow.
These? The one in yellow is a star and the bat is an angel.
Obviously these are the shepherds. See their hairclip staffs?
Last, but not least, the requisite Magi with their precious gifts and their fancy crowns.
Clearly I am not the ONLY fruitcake in the family!

Not only did the girls and I finish the all our home bedecking, but I also did some decorating work at church AND dropped the girlies off to ride on our church's float in the Christmas parade AND went out to supper afterwards.
In other words, it was a very full and satisfying day!
The girls "floating" by! Girly-Girl is the one in the white headband, Silly-head is closer to the front, all in black.

And now? BIG NEWS!!!! I've been selected by Prevention Magazine to

My new, exciting diet blog is HERE, so come on over and bring your friends. I'll have free carrot sticks for everyone who visits! I'll give you the honest scoop about the diet; how easy/difficult it is, how much I love/hate it, and why you should/shouldn't try it. (NOTE: If you can't see the blog yet, please try again later. I think "they" have to approve my posts before they show up.)
It's a win/win/win situation: Win for me, win for you, and win for Prevention!

Remember NaNoWriMo? It's over. But I am not done writing. In fact, I started another song yesterday and I'm gearing up with more plot ideas for JANoWriMo...
(More on that later)

Ok...It's time for me to go. Those girlies need some schooling and I need to baby-proof the Christmas tree before the grand kids come over to play!

HEY... I want the Flat Tummy Diet book! LOL... I clicked on your diet blog link and it said it didn't exist. Huh.
I loved the girls nativity... very cute. :-)
Oh my! I couldn't have said it better if I tried. I have long known that you, my friend, are truly a fruitcake! And now it's official! : D
Loved the girls' nativity scene!
Marianne: Ew...frustrating. I assume "they" have to approve my post before it actually ends up in cyber space. Grrrrr! Hopefully they only do that for the first post!
Lots of news from your way. A fruit cake indeed!!! Who'd have known? I love fruit cake. Here is mine: You Are a Gingerbread House
A little spicy and a little sweet, anyone would like to be lost in the woods with you.
Congrats on being selected for the diet deal!!!! That's exciting and I will follow it faithfully.
I adore your girlies manger scene. Too precious.
Susan
Good luck with the diet from another Gingerbread House.
I've only put out my Christmas dishes. It will probably take a good two weeks to get the rest of the stuff up!
Good for you and the girlies for getting the house all decorated in one day! It usually takes me three days at least, too!
lovely.
I like fruitcake and I grew up on it. My father received one every year and only me and my mom would eat it. No wonder we're friends. :)
I'm impressed about the Christmas decorating and clean up. I have yet to tackle mine--the Halloween spider is still on the mantle.
The girl's nativity is so sweet! I called Shane in to look. He used to do things like that with his beanie babies! Precious Memories!
Shane really enjoyed the Burning of the Fort videos best though! It was so neat finally hearing your voice! You are everybit as articulate and funny as I assumed!
This is mine....
What Holiday Food Are You?

WOW, how impressive that you've got the house decorated and the tree up and the mess put away all in one day!! hehe It sure helps when the kids get old enough to do their part:-) Tell them they did a fabulous job with the tree!!
Awwww it melted my heart when I saw their nativity...they have a lot of imagination like their mom! lol I love it!!
Hey, good for you for getting selected by Prevention Magazine to try out a new diet plan and blog about it...I'll head on over there now to get my free carrot stick! hehe xoxo
I'm a Mince Pie.

I'm thinking maybe I better sign up for that diet!
BWAHAHA!
Love the creative nativity. Great helpers you've got there!
