This Would Be a New and Fascinating Post, BUT...

ANOTHER UPDATE The house is clean (for now) and I've optimistically made up a cleaning schedule to keep it from disintegrating again.

Stop laughing at me. You people! Sheesh! A girl can dream, can't she?

New post coming tomorrow. On Saturday. When all of you will be out and about and no one will have time to read it. Ah, well. Such is the life of a mediocre blogger.

************************************************
UPDATE: Well, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are clean. More will happen today. Life just KEEPS GETTING IN THE WAY of important things like, ya know, sweeping.

************************************************

... I just (finally) cleaned my bedroom and the dust required 3 dust rags and 2 emptyings of the vacuum cleaner.

We do a great job in the Groovy household of keeping things picked up and put away. Clutter is not tolerated for long. But REAL cleaning...THAT is another story.

Groovy hangs her head in shame.

There will be no thrilling blog entries until this house is CLEAN.

Groovy tries to work up the nerve to face -shudder- the living room!

Of course, this whole cleaning attempt is going to be disrupted by the errands that must be run and the books that must be read and the review that must be written and music that must be finalized and working out and Facebook, Squidoo, Twitter, and Writer's Weekly, chocolate other necessities of life.

Don't worry, though. Groovy is nothing, if not single minded.

Stop laughing

She shall overcome and accomplish all that is needed.

Seriously, stop laughing. I'm getting a complex.

That's right, Groovy will be on this housework like a hyena on roadkill. NOTHING shall distract her.

That's it. I'm outta here. You're laughing so hard now that I can't hear my motivational music.

Vrooooooooooooooooooom. <---See? There's the vacuum cleaner now!

It's a known fact that too much exposure to vacuuming causes loss of brain cells.

Oooo this post was thrilling... I can't wait for the next instalment. Perhaps you can give us a running commentary on the dust settling.

Tehe.

I hate to clean. HATE it.

But I LOVE clean - - - -

and therein lies my ambiguity.

I'm totally with everyone above - and I am with you on the clutter vs. clean dilemma. I need to get to serious cleaning, but can't seem to figure out how or when. When the kiddoes are here, I can't and when they leave, I'm beat!

You know, I seriously need to clean under my bed. Seriously. There is clutter under there rooming with dust bunnies. You're almost inspiring me....

When my ship comes in I'm getting a cleaner because I hate cleaning too. All the technology we have in the world today and no one's invented a self-cleaning house? It's just not right.

Nice blog you have here. I accidently was transported here.

While preparing to enter a comment on "Grandma Dawn's" blog, my finger slipped and Voila....I landed here.

Hope you finished your cleaning! The house must look beautiful.

Great job on accomplishing your cleaning. As a thoroughly mediocre housekeeper, I admire anyone who has a clean house. And people who can keep it that way just amaze me beyond end.
