Hurry up and Read This 'Cause Groovy Wrote it Fast

Hi.

I only have a couple minutes before I'm off to take my mom in for a joint replacement in her left hand. Ugh! Poor woman! Nonetheless, she is excited because once the lengthy recovery period is over she should be actually able to, you know, USE her hand and all!

Mulletman has agreed to buy me a new bike. A LIGHTER bike. A sleeker bike. A FANCY bike. Mine is old. It is heavy. It is a true-blue mountain bike - which I am riding on the road. It is making me work REALLY hard and I am getting discouraged (and sore). I genuinely think I am going to hate it after sixty miles (Let's not even discuss 180!) Yesterday we looked at several bikes that are VERY encouraging! :-D

Funsocksgirl may have found the perfectest job in the world. Whoo-hoo!

Sugar-free chocolate is tasty, but doesn't carry the same calming goodness of regular chocolate.

I have the best mother-in-law in the world.

My husband has switched gears and is being exreemly kind, supportive , and UNstressedd-out. Can you all join me in a loud HALLELUIAH!

OK...Gotta go.

Sorry but you'll have to slow down Groovy... I didn't catch a single word of that post.

And HOORAY! for a new bike!

Oh yeah...and (gentle) hugs to Grandma J.

ps I'm just wondering...why do the word verifications always seem to include at least one "q"?

My road bike is a mountain bike with road tires too. Its.... uh... clunky, is probably the best word for it.

Sounds like most everything good is happening in your universe.

Sorry about your mom. I hope she has a speedy recovery.

Mullet man is buying you a new bike because he likes all the whistles you've been getting!

Hope all goes well with your mom's surgery...
Yay for your new bike! I have a mountain bike, too...it's fine for the tiny amount of riding I do, but if were a serious biker like you I would have to insist on a lighter one, too!

Miss your comments at my place these days but I can see just how busy you've been! (Because you wrote this so fast and all my head is spinning...) ;)

congrats on the happy hubby and the new bike!

It's amazing how heavy those mountain bikes are... wow. We got a "hybrid" type for LOTM a few years ago. It's the love child of a street bike and a mountain bike.

It is a big-boned thing that does NOT have the nice light-weight features of a street bike, nor is it truly strong enough to take it on a trail.

In other words, it's pretty darn useless. *sigh*

(and I've got a "q" in my word verification, too)

I read it all really fast and I'm not sure I retained anything but the bike part. I hope you get a really nice one. Oh yeah and Mom. I hope her hand is much better soon. Can we do this slower next time. Brain burn.

Hope your Mum is OK. That sounds like a painful thing to have to go through. Yay for the lighter bike and for all your good news. HALLELUJAH!

The other thing about sugar=free chocolate is it usually contains maltitol, which is like a laxative! Uck!

I hope the hand surgery goes (went) well and she has a speedy, perfect recovery.
