I said therefore to you [the religious leaders of His day], that you shall die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you shall die in your sins. John 8:24
Jesus said to him, "I am THE way, THE truth, and THE life; no one comes to the Father, BUT THROUGH ME. John 14:6 (emphasis mine)
Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it. For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it. Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. Matthew 7:13-15
But the Spirit says explicitly that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons... 1 Timothy 4:1
For the word of the cross is to those who are perishing foolishness, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the cleverness of the clever I will set aside." Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom DID NOT COME TO KNOW GOD, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. For indeed Jews ask for signs, and Greeks search for wisdom; but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block, and to gentiles foolishness, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.
Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 1 Corinthians 1:18-25 (emphasis mine)
Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ DOES NOT HAVE GOD; the one who abides in the teaching, he HAS BOTH THE FATHER AND THE SON. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house [or onto your tv!]and do not give him a greeting; for the one who gives him a greeting participates in his evil deeds. 2 John 9-11 (emphasis mine)
