Late Breaking News

Groovy has a fever.

So what, you say, it's the flu. You're supposed to get a fever.

No, no, NO.

This is phenomenal because Groovy NEVER gets a fever. Truly, I have not had a fever since my first year of marriage almost 26 years ago.

Of course it's only 99.6ºF, but that's HUGE when you consider that my normal temp is 97ºF.

I am thrilled because I feel like I have achieved something dramatic and sympathy inducing!

In other news, I have decided to fight back against this virus by taking zinc gluconate and 500 mg of vitamin C every 2 hours. In case you don't know, several studies have shown that a deluge of zinc gluconate and vitamin C in the early part of a cold or flu will help to considerably shorten the duration of the virus.

There's only one teensy little problem:

Megadoses of C cause diarrhea and I have a cough.

Yeah.

Well look at it this way, Groovy, the diarrhoea and cough are simply an opportunity for you to tone up a few muscles in an area that is in for some heavy use on the upcoming trek.

You mean you've never had a fever all these years? That is amazing!
OK...watch that vitamin C there, Groovy...;)
You know what I love? Airborne! But you have to take it right, right at the beginning or if you wait, it doesn't help. And it's mainly for colds, not flu. But it sure nips the beginnings of colds in the bud!
(This has been an unpaid endorsement by yours truly!)

I just got called away from the computer to see the bowing out of Mike Huckabee...:( I knew it was coming, but the more I saw and heard from him over the past couple months, the more I really liked him! Maybe in 2012, right? (Wow, that sounded futuristic typing that!) ;)

Hope you feel better soon. I recommend horseradish and garlic tablets -they fight everything off. Take it easy, my dear.
