I found a great website called freerice.com . You play a word game akin to Balderdash and for every definition you get correct, they donate 10 grains of rice through the U.N. to help end world hunger.
I checked it out on Snopes.com and it's legitimate.
The words are REAL buggers - waaaay out of my league (In Balderdash, I'm the one who makes up fabulous definitions, NOT the person who guesses the correct ones!)
So, in the true spirit of charity I have cheated for some (most) of the words by looking them up. Thus far I am up to 940 grains of rice and that's after missing a few because I gave a poorly educated guess or it wasn't in my dictionary.
So, go have fun, increase your word power, and help the hungry too!
Procrastination with power...I love it!

How fun! I use to love Balderdash...not sure if I'd know most of the words they use on this site either, but what a fun way to give to others!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Groovy! :D
What a brilliant idea. I'm going to go and play right now!
How wonderful!
I haven't left any comments lately, sorry. Been working, never have any time anymore. I am so grateful for the wonderful people I've met on the Internet and wanted to wish you a great Thanksgiving!
I love that game, but it is TOUGH.
And, I'll get your interview questions to you shortly -- k?
Have a great Thanksgiving!
so i got 300 grains of rice in a snap...i think your brain has mellowed in its old age. while the words are 'challenging' if you think about them for a couple seconds you can figure it out. that or i am just brilliant...which is very possible :-D :-D
My favorite games -- Free Rice and Balderdash!
Hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving!
I hope you had a good Thanksgiving and that you like it better than Christmas!
I'm home today with a sick grandchild (Kristen's work place is not being kind to her with sick children, and I have plenty of time to use up before I retire).
Have a great week!
