The Enemy Has Arrived

They're Here...

...And They've invited Hungry Friends...

...To eat my blueberries. My beautiful, wonderful, tasty, and bountiful bluberries.

CURSE YOU, BEETLE SCUM!!! (and your bald-headed friends, too!)

(Look Out! Groovy has a flame thrower! AND dangerous pesticides! AND a shotgun! AND no chocolate! AND her favorite undies are in the laundry hamper!)

Please tell me THIS cup is half empty!!!

I utterly despise Japanese Beetles... they are one critter I crunch happily beneath my shoe. DD and I pick them every day and dump their cursed little bodies in a bucket of soapy water.

We lose our abundant blueberry crop to various rodents, deer (the same deer that eat my apples, hosta and the tops of all my tomatoes and pepper plants), birds and our friendly backyard bear.

The joy of country living :-)

Hang in there... your cup runneth over, even if your undies are in the hamper.

The blueberries look so good. Hope you can fight the beasts off so you can eat them all to yourself, make blueberry lemonade, get blueberry lips, blueberry cheesecake. Well you get the picture. Will be there with a bucket.LOL

Yuck. That beetle looks pretty nasty. I would probably run screaming in the other direction. :-)

That beetle looks mean! And you know, I didn't know turkeys liked blueberries.

Hope you get chocolate soon!
