UPDATEMyriah arrived home safely around 10am this morning. Apparently she'd just been having a lark and was quite surprised and embarassed to realize that there was a full-blown search and rescue going on on her behalf.
Please pray for wisdom for her parents!
*****************************
My friends, Hugh and Bonnie, were expecting their teen daughter Myriah home from a local fair last night. She and her boyfriend, Luke, never made it home. Right now they are both missing.
Mulletman has gone to join the search parties.
Please pray that they will be found soon!
I'm so glad she was safe, but am constantly amazed at how clueless teenagers are about the "worry factor."
ReplyDeleteWhat a relief! I'm so glad this turned out well. Sending along prayers for all their families.
ReplyDeleteSpawn pulled this same thing way-back-when (I think she was 16 at the time). When she came home, I wasn't sure if I wanted to kill her or hug her.
ReplyDeleteI punished both of us when I grounded her.
When Bubba was seven, he went to a friend's house after school instead of coming home. Of course, he didn't call...
I'm so glad Myriah is home safe and sound. How about Luke?
Glad they are okay and I read this after the update was posted.

Thank God they are safe!
ReplyDeletePraise God that they she came home safely. I will be praying for wisdom for her parants.
ReplyDeleteOh, so glad they are OK...
ReplyDeleteWell, except for whatever discipline comes her way...!
What a relief. How stressful for all concerned. At least it turned out well!
ReplyDeleteBetter embarrassed and safe than not. PTL!
ReplyDeleteI too join the voices of those who are glad she is safe.
ReplyDeleteKids are often clueless as to how their choices affect others.
Every parents' nightmare, to have a child go missing, no matter how old. I can imagine their relief when she finally came home...maybe now the daughter will realize how important it is to check in at home by phoning if staying out later!!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThat was kind of scary. You'd think she'd let her parents know.
